JFEW helps students who are committed to women’s educational and professional advancement to complete a college degree and pursue their career goals. We do this through scholarships, paid internships, peer networks, dedicated advising and professional development opportunities at New York’s public and private universities.
College Program
JFEW’s College Program supports students of all backgrounds who have financial need, are pursuing post-secondary education in New York, and are committed to women’s educational and professional advancement.
Heritage Program
JFEW’s Heritage Program honors the Foundation’s origins as a school for immigrant Jewish girls by supporting students who have financial need, are pursuing post-secondary education in New York, and are committed to Jewish women’s educational and professional advancement.
More than a scholarship program
JFEW is more than a scholarship program. We believe that financial support is only the first step in increasing low-income students’ attainment of a college degree, and that these students — often the first in their families to attend college — have the best chances of future success when they are part of a supportive, empowering community.
We create that community for more than 400 students every year, in partnership with colleges, universities and community based-organizations that prioritize student success and economic mobility.
