JFEW Alumna Martha Quituisaca graduated with honors

Our JFEW SUNY Scholar, Martha Cecilia Quituisaca, recently graduated with honors from Binghamton University!

Martha intends to continue her studies with a master's degree in Public Administration. Her advice to future and current scholars is to "Never let your fear of striking out keep you from doing something. There are times when you will fail, but never let that discourage you from pursing your dreams. Don't see your failures as failures, see them as learning moments. Always remember to be thankful and humble as these two qualities will get you far in life."

JFEW Alumna Catherine Almonte talked networking with us

Posted By Jamie Spence, Tuesday, February 2, 2016
Updated: Tuesday, January 16, 2018

Catherine is a graduate of Binghamton University, and is currently working in the New York City Mayor's Office as a special assistant to Mayor Bill de Blasio!

Her advice to current JFEW students is, "Network like crazy--with established professionals and your peers. I spent months applying to everything in my field and heard nothing. It took a friend of a friend who was also a Binghamton alumni to get my foot in the door. Then, once you get the position, work extremely hard and listen and learn from the experts around you."

Congratulations on your accomplishments, Catherine!
