Louise Brown earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing at the New York City College of Technology in May 2013, where she was a JFEW Scholar. Through the Scholars Program, Louise interned at Brooklyn Hospital in the summer of 2012 and received scholarship support and professional development opportunities.

"This experience has definitely set me apart from classmates because I have gained valuable hours of experience and the sore feet to prove it. It allowed me to be placed in an actual work environment and positioned me for a job opportunity."

Raniah El-Gendi is a JFEW SUNY Scholar at Stony Brook University. A rising senior, she is studying Psychology, Business and International Studies. Through the Scholars Program, Raniah interned at EastWest Institute in the summer of 2013. As a JFEW Scholar she also receives tuition assistance, professional development workshops and ongoing mentoring.

"The JFEW-SUNY Global Affairs and International Relations Program has provided 20 young ladies with a constructive platform to grow and gain confidence in our skills and capabilities as we enter the International Relations workforce, and for that I am truly grateful."

Jane Selegean is a JFEW Eleanor Roosevelt Scholar at Hunter College. A rising senior, she is majoring in Neuroscience and Public Policy with minors in Chemistry and English. Through the Scholars Program, Jane interned at the Weill Cornell Medical College-Department of Public Health in the summer of 2012. The Program also provides tuition assistance, professional development workshops and ongoing mentoring.
