FEW's College Access Programs (CAP I and CAP II) offer college scholarships for socially and economically disadvantaged New York City high school students in collaboration with several partners. In addition, through a special program at Touro College, the Foundation provides aid to mature women seeking undergraduate degrees so that they can re-enter the work force.
Scholarships are offered for four years, providing the student maintains good grades and continues to demonstrate financial need.

Mentor Program (for CAP I students only)
Students receiving scholarship aid through CAP I have the valuable opportunity to participate in the Mentor Program before they enter their junior or senior year of college.
We match scholarship recipients with former JFEW scholarship recipients who have volunteered to serve as mentors. Students have an opportunity to meet with experienced professionals in medicine, finance, law, journalism, theater/entertainment, academia, business and other fields.
The Mentor Program also includes several workshops focused on career-building skills.
CAP II
JFEW has begun a new program, CAP II, for students with financial need graduating from the Bronx High School of Science, Hunter High School and Stuyvesant High School. Modeled after the CAP I program, this program is by nomination only.
Selection: Students must be nominated by the school.
