Emily will be graduating this May with an M.S. in Marine Policy from the University of Maine, where she is studying marine protected areas in international waters!

In 2015, Emily received the Millennium Oceans Prize from Millennium Campus Network and with that she launched her own organization called 10 by 2020. 10 by 2020 is an initiative to help bring awareness about environmental issues to youth around the world, and to foster education about these issues throughout childhood and into a person's adult years.

Additionally, while studying at the University of Maine, Emily also works as the program coordinator at the Wilson Center for Spiritual Exploration and Multi-faith Dialogue, where she facilitates events focused on peace, human rights and spiritual exploration topics.
