Congratulations to our JFEW alumna, and NYU Silver School of Social Work graduate, Bridget Sumser for receiving the prestigious Award for Emerging Leader in Palliative Social Work from the Social Work Hospice and Palliative Care Network for her exemplary work and contribution to the field of palliative and end of life care!

Currently, Bridget is a clinical social worker for the Adult Palliative Care Service at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center and says her practice is rooted in a "deep commitment to social justice issues in health care and a focus on whole person, whole family care."
