JFEW Alumna Michelle Neiman shared her career inspiration

After graduating from Stern College for Women, Michelle spent her summer working at Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special, where children suffering from serious or chronic illnesses participate in a medically supervised overnight camp experience.

Her experience working at Camp Simcha inspired her to pursue a career as a research assistant in a molecular pharmacology lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and later at the Nathan Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research. Most recently, Michelle was accepted to Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine!

The advice she would have given herself before graduating is, "Never stop looking for opportunities to advance.”
