Our JFEW Scholar presented in front of the Carnegie Council

Congratulations to our JFEW SUNY Binghamton Scholar, Sandra Khalil!

Sandra has spent an extensive amount of time researching the linkages between globalization and human rights abuses, and ultimately she decided to submit her research to the Carnegie Council for consideration. Sandra was selected to be one of five students to present her research on human trafficking last week in front of a panel of experts!

She says, "The work I presented demonstrated how globalization brings countries into the international realm and presses them to adopt basic human rights practices. None of this would have been possible without being part of the JFEW program. I learned new skills and networking strategies that gave me the confidence to apply for something like this opportunity."
